How does one complete a remodel but also stay in budget? Do some of it yourself, of course! These homeowners took DIY to a new level when they decided to paint their kitchen cabinets and install new hardware themselves. While we don't recommend this path for everyone, if you have the handy gene and feel up for the time consuming task it can make a huge difference in terms of budget.

This project also included hiring a contractor to make some structural changes like knocking down a wall, installing a beam, leveling floors, building a custom island, installing new pendant light fixtures, and laying new tile. This is one of our favorite transformations to date!
